There is one major event on “Bones” season 9 that we know almost everyone is looking forward to: The wedding between Booth and Brennan! But, in order for us to even make it to that point, there is also one other issue that needs to be dealt with … and his name is Pelant. It is this character’s own threats that has made it impossible for Booth to express a real interest in tying the knot, and that has thrown the woman he loves into a state of complete confusion / disarray.
So is that going to change soon? It sounds like it, based on what executive producer Stephen Nathan has to say to TVLine about a key first six episodes (the ones airing before the baseball hiatus) that could change everything for the couple:
“We wanted to make sure that we leave that first six with a very big episode. I can tell you definitely that Pelant figures in very, very, very, very heavily within the first six episodes. But where he appears and/or vanishes, I can’t really say at this point.”
Is it possible that he exits stage right before baseball begins? We certainly are not putting that out of the realm of possibility right now, given that there are so many other stories that this show wants to tell. There is a bit of a “what to do next?” feeling that comes into play if the wedding for Booth and Brennan happens before the end of the season, but that also creates a great deal of excitement and mystery.
