‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Jane Lynch describes script of Cory Monteith tribute episode

Sue Sylvester -While the upcoming “Glee” tribute episode to Cory Monteith (airing on October 10) has yet to even start filming yet, we have our first impression of the script courtesy of someone who had a deep personal connection to Cory Monteith in Jane Lynch. While her story was not identical to Cory’s, she is one of the few actors on the show who can sympathize with some of what he went through with addiction.

There’s really no point right now in even trying to analyze what Lynch is saying here; we’ll just let the following tweet speak for itself when it comes to what is coming up for that episode.

“Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, [Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan].”

There is no doubt that this is going to be one of the most-difficult episodes of the show for the cast to film, since they will be going through almost a double-tragedy. Not only will they be facing the death of Cory all over again, but there is a certain amount of emotional attachment to the Finn Hudson character, a light in McKinley High and without a doubt the love of Rachel Berry’s life.

While there are going to be some guest stars appearing during the first two episodes of the season, including the just-announced Demi Lovato, we anticipate the story descending solely around Cory for his tribute with the side plots taking a back seat. We are also hoping to see some more of the show’s past stars return for this, even Dianna Agron, who was otherwise expected to really be gone for the entire season as she tries to pursue a movie career.

We are going to have more news on this show as it becomes available, so stay tuned.
