NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2 spoilers: Check out the electrifying new promo!
So far, everything that we have seen pertaining to “Revolution” (outside of the Comic-Con trailer that came out last month) has come via such things as casting scoop or the occasional tease on set courtesy of some people in production. So to actually have an opportunity to see some of the first real footage of the season in TV promo form? It’s pretty exciting.
The video below marks one of the first real teasers released by NBC, and it presents what are many of the show’s central themes at this point, whether we are talking about the blackout, the struggles for various people to stay alive, or a surprising new threat that could cause trouble for everyone in unexpected ways.
One thing that is strangely exciting us the most right now? The move to a new setting. The cornfields and the more southern setting brings a new air to the show, but we hope that in the process, the cast all chooses to stay relatively in one place now. There was far too much wandering over the course of season 1, and for much of the time, we’re not actually sure that people really managed to get anywhere.
We’ll close this article by pointing out three simple changes that would alter this series significantly for the better:
1. Less of Charlie, and more of an overall ensemble feel.
2. Establish more of a sense of what is really happening early, and not let the mystery be the sole device that pushes forward the story.
3. Action, but action with a purpose. There is so much to like about this show, and we want to find ourselves cheering for it as much as we were back when we saw the trailer for the pilot around this time last year.
