‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: How long will Paul Wesley’s Silas stay under wraps
For Paul Wesley, there is clearly going to be a great deal of fun for him on “The Vampire Diaries” season 5. For one, he still gets to play his character of Stefan in a state of suffering; then, he also gets to take on a take-no-prisoners sort of villain in Silas, who just so happens to be his doppelganger. When you are on a show for this long, there has to be a certain amount of excitement that comes out of getting an opportunity to do something different.
But how long is Silas really going to get away with running around Mystic Falls and posing as Stefan? It’s not really going to really be all that long. TV Guide reports that an incredibly awkward hug between “Stefan” and Damon is going to be one of the signs that there is something terribly wrong in this world.
When they find Stefan (whenever that may be), the good news is that he will technically still be among the living (for a vampire). The bad news? That he will have been drowned so many times that we’re sure that they are not going to be looking at the same exact vampire that they once knew. He’s going to be emotional and jaded, and it’s impossible to imagine anything different for him after the experience that he will have gone through.
“The Vampire Diaries” season 5 returns to The CW on October 3, and one other interesting development here could be seeing just what Elena’s emotional reaction is to seeing Stefan again. While she may be with Damon now and a part of a new school, it will have been several months since she last saw him, and there could be lingering feelings.
