‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Emily Deschanel’s Brennan and marriage confusion

What's ahead -If there’s one thing we’ve learned from eight seasons of “Bones,” it’s that our leading lady is extremely intelligent, even if she is not able to always empathize with others in the way some would want. So with that in mind, do you really think that she is going to sit there forever and think that Booth suddenly not wanting to get married is going to be his choice?

What we’re trying to say here is that as season 9 progresses, she’s going to get the feeling that something is amiss here, and given her own history, it’s also not going to be particularly difficult to figure out just who could be behind the trouble. As Stephen Nathan (one of the show’s executive producers) states per Entertainment Weekly, there is going to be a nagging suspicion in Bones’ head this season that she will eventually explore on some level:

“Someplace, I believe Brennan has a sense that Pelant is behind this. We will see — it might be subliminal or might be subconscious — she is going to set something in motion that might wrap up this conflict and crisis for their relationship.”

Emily Deschanel’s character is going to have plenty of help trying to figure this issue out: You know that Booth will try to assist her in any way that also keeps her safe, and a mysterious ex-priest from his past may be able to do so on a more overt level. We don’t expect Pelant to be miraculously taken care of by the premiere, but given the confirmation already that there will be a wedding this season, the villain should be out of the way eventually.

With that in mind, go ahead and let your imagination run wild as to what a “Bones” wedding will look like. It should be a fun, at times dramatic, and overall satisfying episode when it happens.
