‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: First look at ‘Orphan Black’s’ Dylan Bruce

“Arrow” has a mixture of colorful characters coming up this season, but one of the more interesting ones from the perspective of Katie Cassidy’s Laurel is the arrival of Adam Donner, a man that she is going to be working alongside her as an attorney. Donner is smart, charismatic, and accomplished in his job. The character is going to be played by “Orphan Black’s” Dylan Bruce, and the photo from the actor’s Twitter account of the character shows that he is going for a rather professional look.

In case you have not read much on “Arrow” this summer, Laurel’s going to be in the middle of a very different transition when the show picks back up. She will be much more interested in prosecuting rather than defending, and her relationship status with Oliver Queen could be up in the air following the death of Tommy. They do have feelings there, but also fear that being together will cause them each to be in more danger than they would be apart.

Meanwhile, there is also the beginnings of the Black Canary story coming up this year, though there are no guarantees that Laurel will become the character this season (or if ever). Will Bruce facilitate the development of her character? He’s either a challenge for her, a likable ally, or be a major thorn in her side. We’ll have an opportunity to find out which within a few months’ time.

“Arrow” season 2 premieres on Wednesday, October 9 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time with an episode that should blow you away when it comes to its content. We will of course have more on that very soon, so be sure to keep checking back.
