‘The Following’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Dexter,’ ‘Homeland’ actor new series regular
Is there a young actor right now feeling better about themselves than Sam Underwood? If there is, we’d like to know who they are, and what they do to get their self-esteem up to such an atmospheric level. This guy has just secured his third important role in the past several months, and they are all on some pretty successful shows.
Right now, you probably know Underwood best for his part as Zach Hamilton, the young killer on “Dexter” who Michael C. Hall’s character is working to train using The Code. Also, you are going to see the actor turning up on the third season of “Homeland” soon, where he will be taking on the part of a new friend to Brody’s daughter Dana (who probably is in need of about 100 or so new friends given what she’s been through).
But what we are here today to talk about is simple: Underwood and “The Following.” According to TVLine, he will be playing the part of Luke, a young, complicated man who has a mean streak to him, and there is some speculation that he may be one of the followers of the seemingly-late Joe Carroll. Considering that we’re watching him play a serial killer now, we do hope that he’s something a little different than that; but regardless, he’s going to be around a while. Underwood is listed as a series regular now.
What makes “The Following” more complicated than ever right now is that we know already that James Purefoy is returning, which clearly suggests that despite of whatever anyone may want to see, Joe is probably not going to be dead as a result of the explosion last season. That’s good for the followers, but bad for Ryan Hardy, whose life is going to be finally a bit better at the start of the season.
