‘The Bachelorette’ finale spoilers: Desiree Hartsock and the Drew Kenney dilemma
One aspect of tonight’s season finale for “The Bachelorette” that is certainly interesting is waiting to find out whether or not Brooks Forester is going to return and suddenly decide that Desiree Hartsock is the woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with. However, there’s another part of this that is really not getting the same sort of press that you would probably expect: What happens to the two other guys? They both do seem like people that most ladies would want, but Desiree has decided that they are not for her. Therefore, they are about to have their worlds each shattered in a way that is just as bad as what happened to Desiree with Brooks.
In one of what has been approximately one billion chats that he has had with various outlets over the past week, Chris Harrison tells the Miami Herald is that this is something that will definitely be addressed in this finale, and these two guys are going to see that their happily ever after is probably not going to include Desiree:
“The interesting part is that Drew and Chris have no idea that any of this went down. That’s part of the problem we have to solve in the finale. We have these two happy guys that have no idea that the bachelorette just had her world rocked.”
For us, what makes this whole story fairly intriguing is trying to figure out the when just as much as the how. Will Desiree have a spontaneously rose ceremony, will she tell the two guys individually, or force them both to have that fateful walk down to the final spot of the season, where she then breaks the news to them? Hopefully she’ll spare them that, and find a different way to gently let them down off of their romantic high.
