‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 promo: Watch some faces go ‘boom’

What are you supposed to think when you see a “Sons of Anarchy” season 6 promo that revolves largely around watching murals of characters faces exploding off of a brick wall?

The three characters that are featured as Jax and the members of SAMCRO ride by are Gemma, Tara, and Clay, and that part of it can’t be a coincidence, given how these three are some of the most explosive people in Jax’s life. He has experienced happiness and heartbreak with all of them, and the question going into this season remains how invested he is going to remain in the lives of each of them. There are other priorities now that he has to deal with, after all, that come with being at the head of the table.

The campaign for season 6 thus far reflects what creator Kurt Sutter has said in interviews that this will be the most violent season to date, and with that does inevitably come a high body count. It is not going to be easy to imagine happy endings for many of these characters, especially as the world around them continues to be as dark and terrible as it is. Sutter in particular teased one of the most horrific scenes ever on the show coming up during the season premiere, and that is something that there will be discussion about for some time.
