Just in case you ever wanted to have any proof that Blake Shelton is still keeping in touch with one of his former winners from “The Voice,” we have it for you right here courtesy of Cassadee Pope. The season 3 champion has been pushing her debut country single “Wasting All These Tears” over the past several weeks, and it has climbed up into the top 40 on the Country charts.
Now, she’s even had the opportunity to have a little bit of fun with Blake when it comes to the song, as she made a special appearance at Blake’s show in Indianapolis over the weekend as he tried to sing part of the song and then questioned whether it was in the right key for him. (As it turns out, it was of course a little high.) Blake’s biggest endorsement in the video below comes when he is being completely serious, when he says that Cassadee is going to be “one of the next biggest stars in country music.”
“Wasting All These Tears” is currently available on iTunes, and she is going to be appearing everywhere from California to Atlantic City over the next week and a half. (Check out some of her appearances and ticket information here.)
As for her coach, Blake has already been hard at work on season 5 of “The Voice,” which will premiere on NBC on Monday, September 23, which marks the official beginning for the fall TV season. He has won all three of the most-recent editions of the show with members of his team.
If you want to hear Cassadee’s recent rendition of the National Anthem from a race in Indianapolis, and also some more news related to some other “Voice” contestants, just be sure to head on over to the link here.
