‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5 spoilers: Eric Christian Olsen on Deeks’ past

If you have been looking for some time to get a window into Deeks’ soul on “NCIS: Los Angeles,” the upcoming fifth season is sure to deliver when it comes to meeting another face from his past. Within that, you should be able to figure out just why he is the guy that he is.

Speaking to TVLine, Eric Christian Olsen comments on how we’ve already seen one part of his life courtesy of his father, and this time around, it is going to be time to really see what could be best considered the other half of the story:

“You’re going to meet his mom and get into his past … We already know a little about the dysfunctional and catastrophic relationship with his father, but we’re going to find out a lot more about what makes this guy tick and how it affects, obviously, the relationship with Kensi and his inability to make that work.”

But when could we actually meet this character? That is where the issue of planning comes into play. Obviously, there is going to be a great amount of fan interest in seeing this happen, but the downside to that is that there is also going to be quite a bit of patience preached from some higher-up seemingly when you consider how this is something perfect for a sweeps period to pick up ratings. As far as stories go when it comes to this character, this is one nearly as daunting as sitting below the Hollywood sign and looking up.
