‘Glee’ season 5: Lea Michele makes second message all about loved ones

Lea MicheleSlowly and surely, Lea Michele is starting to emerge from what has been one of the most-difficult times in her life, and while she will always hold a part of Cory Monteith near and dear to her heart, she is finding the comfort of friends as one of the best forms of healing that there is.

In a new post on her Twitter account, the “Glee” star said the following in what is her second comment since Monteith passed away suddenly in Vancouver earlier this month due to an overdose:

“Spending the day surrounded by great friends.. Hope you all are having a good day.. Sending lots of love to you all..”

Michele will be heading back to the “Glee” set very soon, as will the rest of the cast following what was a delayed premiere due to the tragedy. The show has also been pushed back a week, and will now air on Thursday, September 26 rather than its original date a week earlier. Cory’s death will be addressed in the show’s third episode back, while the first two are set to be a previously-planned tribute to the Beatles.

Will Lea ever speak out about Cory in a longer format, like a magazine or TV interview? It’s possible, but this really is one of those things that should not be rushed, and she will be able to open up about it when she is good and ready. For now, it’s just nice that she has the support of everyone who is closest to her.
