‘Big Brother 15’ live feed spoilers: Aaryn Gries chatter with Elissa, CBS boss

AarynThere is a weird sort of shift in the “Big Brother 15” house this week, and while it is great for the people playing the game, it’s not so great for anyone watching. There’s not much drama among some of the usually-crazy houseguests, and this afternoon we actually saw a somewhat-nice conversation between Aaryn and her sworn enemy Elissa.

While there was nothing of note to report here save for Elissa’s confidence that she will win Head of Household this week, it does show these two learning something about the way that they have to play this game. For now, they can help each other get further, even if they hate each other and one of them is the albatross of this season. (Aaryn saved her bashing this afternoon for Andy, saying that she “hates” Candice and wants to get her out … even though she knows Howard is the right person to send packing this week.)

We also want to take a minute to share what CBS head Les Moonves (who is also married to Julie Chen) had to say about Gries and some other contestants’ racial and sexist remarks today at TCA, condemning them, but at the same time saying that he has the final say on casting and that the show itself really only focuses on this sort of negativity when it directly impacts the game:

“Big Brother was established as a social experiment. Clearly, that is what’s happening this year. I find some of the behavior appalling, personally… I think we’ve handled it properly. Obviously a lot of it makes us uncomfortable [and] I’ve watched every episode of the show … I do know what is going on there. We did not comment on some of the racial things going on until it affected the household.”

Based on everything that we have seen this summer, we’d be willing to wager that there will be an all-star season next year with people that CBS already feels to be reliable personalities who will bring fun (but not racism) into the game. Plus, they will have a number of people to choose from who have only played once.
