You may still have a little over two more months to wait until the premiere of “Homeland” season 3, but Showtime has dropped a nice little treat for us to watch today: The first teaser promo for the new season.
Do you want it to tell you something substantial? Well, too bad … because it doesn’t. All you really have here is some confirmation that Nicholas Brody is going to not only be involved, since the rest is hard to really be taken too seriously as much of anything. It’s possible that this could be evidence that Damian Lewis’ character is inexplicably on his way back to the Middle East, but this could also be a red herring. If we were in his shoes, we would probably venture somewhere that was so far off of the grid, no police would be able to look for him. Many in the Middle East are going to be very much familiar as to who he is following the attack at the end of season 2.
Regardless of what you may think about this video, it certainly does the job in one respect: Getting you talking about the new season, and raising questions as to what could be happening next. Given that all we have heard as of late is “Carrie! Carrie! Carrie,” it is nice to be reminded that the other Emmy-winner does still exist, even if he has not been spotted on the show’s set at all. (By the ways, applause to the crew here for managing to keep the public from finding out some of their secrets.)
What is your impression of this teaser? If you want to see some more scoop on where Carrie and Brody are going to find themselves when the show returns in terms of how they feel about each other, our suggestion is to just check out the story over here.
