According to TVLine, the actress, who is best known for her part as CeCe Drake on ABC Family’s uber-hit “Pretty Little Liars,” has signed up for a major recurring role on the fourth season of “Blue Bloods” as a character named Edit “Eddie” Janko, a cop that is fresh out of the police academy and assigned to work with Jamie Reagan. Given the number of partners he’s had in the past year, she’s got quite a bit to live up to at the moment.
For Ray, you have to say that she is trying to show off some range here. After all, Cece was a relatively free-spirited character, and she’s moving from that soap-esque world of mystery into one that is rather gritty and by-the-book. We don’t imagine that Eddie is going to be up to nearly as much when it comes to shady behavior.
As for what this casting means for her future on “Pretty Little Liars,” it’s pretty easy to say that it’s not looking altogether good for CeCe. We know that she will be back for two episodes next month, and that makes some sense given that the character was recently outed in a big way for having a role in the mystery right now involved Red Coat in the fire. There are claims that she is “afraid” of Alison DiLaurentis … but what if the two are actually working together in some way? We’d tell you to start cuing up the dramatic music now for when the truth is revealed.
