‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Charlie Hunnam on seeing the end coming
Fans of “Sons of Anarchy,” you better get your tissues ready: We’re starting to get near the end of what is going to be an exhausting, emotional, and amazing journey. You know that you are really starting to get into that position when some of the lead actors are talking about the sense of finality that is approaching, and that is what we are hearing now from the man at the center of all of the drama in Charming.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly following the show’s time at Comic-Con (which included a trailer that is still a mystery to anyone not at the convention), Charlie Hunnam had the following to say about feeling that we were in the waning days of the show:
“Unfortunately, as much as it breaks my heart to say it, we are starting into the third act. We got to wrap this thing up. I’m really really nervous and I have anxiety already about having to take that cut off and say goodbye to Jax. This has been far and away the deepest creative experience of my life. But we’re going to go out strong though. It’s Hamlet and the third act of Hamlet is pretty exciting. There’s going to be a reckoning and bodies are going to start dropping.”
Yes, the idea of bodies dropping is probably not going to be the most wonderful thought ever to those out there who are still mourning the loss of Opie last year. It shows that literally anyone (except for maybe Jax this season) could die, and you’re probably not going to see this show ending with everyone holding hands and riding their bikes off into the sunset.
Even though we may not have a Comic-Con trailer, we do have some panel highlights courtesy of Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal, and for now, we’re rather glad to have that than nothing at all to share.
