‘The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All’ spoilers: Desiree Hartsock vs. James Case (video)

Well, ABC is proving yet again that they have a flair for the dramatic, aren’t they? The latest video sneak peek that we have for Monday night’s “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All” special is going to focus all about the James Case scandal, which is probably something that would not have been such a big deal at all had this season been somewhat more interesting.

First of all, we still have a problem that the entire source of this conversation is hearsay; we don’t necessarily doubt that James said something along the lines of hoping to be the next “Bachelor” in the event that being with Desiree Hartsock does not work out for him, but it’s not an interesting story unless we actually hear the words come out of his mouth. Instead, we’re supposed to trust people that are competing against him for the love of a woman.

While James is not exactly the model of good behavior, it’s silly for us to presume that he is the only guy or girl to ever come on this show with these sort of hopes in mind, and he’s just the unlucky soul who managed to get caught. Desiree’s question for him in the sneak peek is whether or not he would take the gig as “The Bachelor” now if asked, and there’s no way for him to win with that question. If he says yes, then he’s thought of as a pig. If he says no, then no one believes him. All the while, there is some nasty / sinister music playing underneath the conversation, and this whole ordeal makes you wonder why some men and women choose to attend this special in the first place.
