ABC’s Scandal’ season 3: Kerry Washington confirms start of publicity shoot

While many new shows actually had their promotional photo shoots many months ago as a way to get them out quicker to prospective fans, now is really the time that most of the returning series are getting in front of the camera again for some new shots. Based on what we are hearing now, this also includes the cast of “Scandal.”

In a new post on her Twitter account Friday, newly-minted Emmy-nominee Kerry Washington confirmed that she and the rest of her fellow gladiators were in the process of shooting some of their new photos, which will be published later this summer in an effort to better promote everything that is coming up ahead. If done correctly, these images can be a source of great attention, and also have you excited for some of what is coming up in the future.

From a personal standpoint, we’re thrilled about this. While the photo above clearly shows that these exist in some out-of-context universe where Mellie would clearly be okay with having Olivia Pope be center stage wearing an all-white outfit, they give us something new to use here at the site to promote the show.

“Scandal” season 3 now has an official premiere date in Thursday, October 3, and we will hopefully have some more details soon on just what we can expect from the show.
