‘Dexter’ season 8, episode 4 preview: Should Dexter prepare for the worst?

DexterWe’ve spent so much time over the past 24 hours obsessing over “Dexter” at Comic-Con, it may be easy to forget in many ways that there is an actual new episode airing on Sunday night. This is going to be a critical one if Dexter Morgan ever wants to get Deb back in his life, and Dr. Vogel already has a pretty significant message to share with him: He really should prepare for the worst when it comes to the possibility that his sister may never be okay with having him back in her life again.

Dr. Vogel warns him first of all that there is no evidence that Deb has hit “rock bottom,” and until she gets to that point, it is hard to necessarily guarantee that he is going to see any substantial changes with her at all when it comes to her feelings of hostility towards him.

With that in mind, perhaps it is better for Dexter to focus on other things … right? Well, he is certainly going to do his best to try. Dr. Vogel still has him concentrated on trying to figure out who is responsible for the Brain Surgeon killings, and he will be continuing to check off possible suspects who have a history with her as patients. Sooner or later, one of them has to be the guilty party here, right? The only other possibility is that it is someone from the outside who has developed a rather acute vendetta against her. She is obviously a unique woman, as she has spent so long operating from a very different standpoint then most people.

What do you think about this video, and do you think we have seen the worst from Deb now that her drunken confession is out of the way? If you do want to read some more highlights from “Dexter” at Comic-Con, just be sure to visit the link here.
