‘Bunheads’ season 2: Another sad sign that renewal may not happen

At this point, “Bunheads” staying on the air would seem like a miracle, and that’s fairly sad. Why? We’re looking at a pretty fantastic show, and one that really should not have to rely on a Hail Mary or the hopes and dreams of fans in order to be back for a second season. Yet, this is precisely the situation that we are facing right now for a myriad of reasons.

The only good news right now is that ABC Family did not cancel the show at the same time that they canceled “The Lying Game” recently, which is something that they could have easily done. However, this does not mean that the sets are being rebuilt by any means.

You also have to wonder about the fact that the show’s Twitter account has been inactive now for almost two weeks, when it was previously sending out messages every day. Granted, it’s possible that the network got the hint that torturing their fans with news about other shows was kind of mean, especially when you are specifically hoping for scoop on the show the account was made for.

Finally, the show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino recently made it clear yet again that she has not heard anything else in regards to the show being renewed, and that is definitely not a good thing for fans. Just take a look at what she had to say recently per BuzzFeed:

“They are telling me nothing more than they’ve told you … My opinion of what the eventual outcome will be [in cancellation], though, has not changed.”

Obviously, we will have more scoop when it becomes available, but it is looking more and more clear that you are really going to be better off not holding your breath on this one.
