‘Under the Dome’ spoilers: Can Barbie stop the danger ahead?

On Monday night’s new “Under the Dome” episode, we are potentially going to see quite a dangerous situation. The good news? It will be family day, and many loved ones of the Chester’s Mill residents will stop by in an effort spend some sort of quality time with the people that they care about.

Unfortunately, here is where the wrinkle comes into play. These people are really just there in order to say goodbye to their loved ones, as the military, fulfilling the human way of being afraid of what they do not understand, are going to try to blow this entire thing up into smithereens.  Will it work? Probably not, given that we would have a pretty short show if that was the case.

As for who you can look for as a potential hero in this situation, it is none other than Mike Vogel’s character of Barbie. According to TV Guide, Barbie’s military history is going to play an enormous role in whether or not this group will be able to make it through this scary situation. Does this mean that he knows how to communicate with military personnel? We have to assume so, mostly because we don’t know what else he could do in order to stop the impending attack from the inside.

After all, just remember the situation that he and everyone else is in: They are trapped underneath a giant dome, incapable of really defending themselves, and basically a fishbowl for the known world. It’s not an easy situation to be in, and it is one that also festers plenty of fear-mongering and gossip.
