‘The X Factor’ USA notes: New Fifth Harmony, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Emblem3 videos
It’s not often that we have a trio of new videos to share from some of the most-popular “X Factor” USA season 2 acts (especially within a short amount of time), but we have them for you here!
Fifth Harmony – Let’s start with the ladies, given that they are in the process of preparing for their “Miss Movin’ On” video launch on Monday. Even if we have not seen the full clip just yet, the teaser below gives us a pretty good idea of just what we can expect. Here’s a hint: Expect plenty of color, and for much of this to feel like you are at one of the world’s cheeriest theme parks. If this does not make you want to go riding on a Ferris wheel and/or the bumper cars, you’re clearly doing something wrong.
“Miss Movin’ On” will also be available on iTunes next week.
Carly Rose Sonenclar – As for Carly, she has a new video interview with Teen.com where she touches on a variety of different topics, whether it be this past season of the singing show, some of her foundation work, Demi Lovato, or her brand-new single “Unforgettable” (which you can hear at this link, if you haven’t already). Definitely worth a watch for all fans.
An Emblem3 acoustic performance – If you look below, you can hear the three guys from this season perform “Girl Next Door,” one of their new tracks that they are pushing hard off of their upcoming debut album. Check out the entire performance below (via Just Jared Jr.), and as always keep checking back; we’ll have more on their album soon.
Want to read even more “X Factor” updates? If so, just be sure to check out the story over at the link here.

This isn’t a news flash, everyone is entitled to like whatever music they want and I am a fan of Fifth Harmony, but the two songs I’ve heard so far are horrible. Neither have originality, creativity and they sound like every other song on the radio, no harmonies, the list goes on….I really hope they have some better music in store on that first album if not I certainly won’t be purchasing it

I really don’t like that Emblem3 song. But they’re doing good. Teen choice award nomination, on tour with Selena, Chloe is still climbing the charts. Proud of them.

I’m gonna say it out loud right now. 5H and their single Miss Movin’ On will be the first to hit the Billboard top 40. So many radio stations are playing that song, more than you realize. I think you guys need to Chill the F*CK out. Even the fans know that they haven’t reach WW dominance yet. There already going on tour, they have performances and TV schedules booked What else do you want to Point out?? That their music isn’t good?? Bitch please the Music that JB releases is crap compared to the single of MMO. And if America don’t embrace Girl groups that much they Why was Destiny’s child and PCD was so famous. Back off and let Epic Records do their magic with 5H. As for E3 Their album isn’t out yet and their going on tour with Selena to promote it. I’m positive their album will be a success after the tour.

Miss Movin On was created for Top 40 radio, it sounds just like everybody else. That’s why I’ve stopped listening. 5H are fantastic singers, but the material is lacking. They needed to go in an R&B direction and create a fresh sound. Destiny Child was world famous because they had artistic direction and did not formulate themselves off of what was popular. Emblem3 was not smart to tour with Selena Gomez. She is one of the worst singers in the entire entertainment industry. If anything, Simon should’ve tried to hook them up with some big California bands or indie music and such.

^^Times have changed, Music has changed. This is Not Destiny’s child time anymore. MMO is original and yes its made for radio but how else are they supposed to get recognized?? They are making music for not only themselves but for their fans as well who are mostly teen & Young adult dominated and right now they’re trying to live in the moment. They do not need to go RnB, they just need to be original and be themselves. And that’s okay if you don’t like their music it just wasn’t meant for YOU and Thousands of people love their stuff so far. Besides they only have two singles out, just wait until the whole album comes out. Their new single Me and My Girls is amazing, talk about an anthem. To me their an entire different girl group that’s gonna last for more than 15 years. :)

I never said 5H needed to be like Destiny’s Child. R&B is a genre just like Pop is a genre. The girls’ voices are more suited for R&B/Hip Hop influence just like their very first performance of “Impossible”.
You must be kidding if you think they’re being themselves. Their label wants them to be pop artists, so, they are singing the generic pop songs written by those big songwriters. Just because thousands love their stuff, doesn’t mean its good.
They have soulful voices, but they are only singing songs that sell, not songs that present an artistic perspective. Music has indeed changed so that everyone thinks they need to follow the trends just to get a top 40 hit. It’s quite sad.

Ok. honesty hour. I knew Melanie Amaro and Tate Stevens wouldn’t survive as solo artists because they aren’t marketable. In the first three months of this year, Simon and Syco really pushed and promoted Emblem3, hoping that they would take over America and take over One Direction as the hottest boy band around. That didn’t happen. They have dismal sales. and now Simon forgot about them. sure they are on tour, but they’re opening for Selena Gomez, not some rock band. Since E3 failed, now Simon and Syco are really pushing for Fifth Harmony to succeed. They have them playing their lyric video at x factor auditions. I have heard 3 songs from them. MMO wasn’t that great and Me and My girls sounds like a kids bop song mixed with Drake’s “Whatcha twerking with” beat. Most blogs say one hit wonder mainly because America doesn’t embrace girl groups and Simon Cowell is overestimating the amount of fans 5H actually has here in the states, most are in Brazil, like Carly’s fans…As for Carly Rose Sonenclar, great voice, but not signed by a major label. I heard her first song, and it sounds okay for a 14 yr old. I don’t know how you market her. to teens? adults? what is her target demo? We are a long way from her album. Simon needs to just stop forcing these acts down America’s throat. his winners fail. why is the x factor still on the air?

The problem is that Simon thinks he knows what people want to hear. Emblem3 had an interesting sound in the beginning that was soon molded to 4-chord boyband pop marketed towards tween girls. He ruined those boys and I think E3 know what they’re doing is ridiculous. He should’ve tried to get them embraced by the alternative music community since they could’ve appealed to a wide demographic. Simon’s plan to commercialize them failed because what made them special in the first place was that they had the ska-reggae-hip hop influences. I think they can bounce back if they demand to go back to their old style.
Fifth Harmony doesn’t know what they want since they were packaged on X Factor. Something about the group dynamic is very off. I feel like one of the girls in particular does not feel comfortable (or does not like being there). They are good singers, but the songs they are singing are very generic pop. I feel like the group will implode due to personal differences very soon.
Carly Rose is phenomenal, of course. She has such a wide appeal because she can sing anything and make it sound good. The record company doesn’t know how to market her because all SyCo does is hook up their singers with the generic hit makers and make profits. Carly is a true artist who deserves the best material. She’d be better off leaving the label.

Carly writes her own stuff. She don’t need the best material. If people on her label not stupid, they will release her first single in August or September. And I think I know why Simon is holding Carly. He wants to sell her for even bigger pile of money.

By the “best material”, I mean staying away from following the horrendous top 40 garbage with all the techno and electronics and just create music that she can soar with. Simon really doesn’t know what to do with Carly. He knows how to package for mindless tweeny boppers, but when it comes to real artists, he falters. Look at what he did to Leona Lewis, one of the best singers on the planet. He didn’t do much for her after Bleeding Love.

Carly is a true artist with a wide audience range. What Simon and Syco should do is just give her her own vehicle (label) and let her drive it herself. I have a hunch she will put on many miles and her vehicle will do just fine! E3, 5th Harmony, Tate Stevens fads all three…Carly Rose Sonenclar…..an artist that will be around for years to come!

Because Simon Cowell knows nothing about longevity. All he knows is how to milk every dollar out of his artists in the shortest time possible before moving onto the next one. After Bleeding Love he neglected her for One Direction and Olly Murs. He’ll do the same to One Direction in 2-3 years too i mean look at the ridiculous amount of work they have to do now, he’s milking them for all their worth. Simon Cowell doesn’t know how to help develop and support artists with longevity hence why Carly is blessed she hasn’t signed a deal yet she should just keep doing what she’s doing now. In a couple of years she’ll break through the same way Adele and Alicia Keys first did

Pretty much nailed it in regards to all three.

I strongly Disagree with you. MMO and Me and My girls are Bound to be hit singles. Plus MMo isnt on itunes yet nor is the music video so don’t label them as a flop just yet. E3 However are not exactly rushed I would say, they just need more time to promote which is something 5H has been doing a lot. And besides E3 is NOT a boyband they arent trying to take on that boy band scene their just a band and the fans know that too. Carly however I’m not so sure but don’t hate on her just yet. Kara Did you expect these acts to become WW famous like 1D and Beyonce after their one single??? Even the Success of 1D took time, in fact it was 7 months after WMYB single became Famous in the US. And I cant Honestly tell you that most of the fans ARENT from Brazil, I’m from Canada and their are plenty of Harmonizers up here. 5H broke a record when premiering MMO b/c fans tuned in all the way from Hawaii to France and even to Japan. Get your facts straight. -__-

There are a of 5th fans in Canada?! Well not in Toronto! I know no on that likes them! Emblem3 are going to be on New Music Live which is a HUGE deal! Also Miss Movin On won’t be playing on Canadian radio because it’s not doing well on Canadian music charts. At least Chloe is playing in Canada! :P
