‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ preview: First look at Joe Giudice – Joe Gorga fight
Over the course of several previews all year long, you knew that this was coming: A rare moment on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” where the fighting actually gets physical. It’s a sad, sorry situation, mostly because these people are adults and parents who really should no better than to get involved in this sort of nonsense on TV. Unfortunately, that is where we are apparently wrong, as Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga are going to decide that beating each other into a pulp is a good idea on Sunday night’s new episode.
So how does this really start up? Based on what we are seeing in the video below, one of the really big causes is merely the tension that comes out of Melissa “begging” Teresa to fix things, and Joe Gorga calling his sister scum. Joe Giudice demands an apology, and that is when Joe Gorga charges at him.
For more, check out the full synopsis from the episode below:
“The Housewives pack their bags and head up to a frozen Lake George to thaw out their issues. Teresa prepares to confront Jacqueline, Melissa chips away at Teresa’s lies, while Kathy plays referee on the sidelines. Years of hostility fracture the group when relationship building exercises turn in to a throwdown between the Joes — threatening to crumble this fragile group forever.”
So we are pretty sure that we will have a number of other things to say about this scene over the course of the next several days, but for now we just have to say that it is awkward. While it is clearly one of the best examples out there of reality actually working its way into a reality TV show (fancy that happening!), it’s also a pretty-clear representation that sometimes, cooler heads really do prevail. We have to hope that everyone involved here is really rather embarrassed that things ever got to this level.
While we had hoped that this feud was starting to calm down in real life, a recent message from Melissa makes us wonder: Are these people ever going to actually want to get along?
