‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Charlie Hunnam’s Jax battles in first teaser
As it turns out, Wednesday night brought FX viewers something more than just the premiere of new series “The Bridge”; you also had an opportunity to take a first look a the upcoming sixth season of “Sons of Anarchy” … sort of. There’s not any actual footage in the promo below from the new episodes coming in September, but there is no doubt that it is pretty cool.
Basically, this entire promo has to it one simple theme: Violence. It is dark, it is gritty, and sometimes, things can feel almost like they are going in slow motion. It almost has an epic feel to it, like you are watching a movie about gladiators fighting in a pit. There are also familiar adversaries paired up against one another; Charlie Hunnam’s Jax is facing off against Ron Perlman’s Clay, while we also have Gemma (Katey Sagal) and Tara (Maggie Siff) going at each other.
Even though we have heard a few casting notes here and there and Jimmy Smits’ return to the show is confirmed, we really have not heard altogether much about the plot for the season. All that we can imagine is that Jax is once again going to feel the sense of burden and loss that comes with being at the head of the table, and Tara’s arrest is going to also loom very large. As for Otto, Kurt Sutter’s own character has more of a death wish than usual.
What is your overall take on this teaser? As always, we want to hear some of your thoughts below! If you want to hear more from Hunnam on the series’ future and how long he is willing to play the Jax character, just be sure to visit the link here.
