If you head over to TV Insider right now, you can see a sneak preview for the upcoming episode that shows Lestat in the midst of a really demanding recording session, one that includes him shouting “again” on multiple instances and at one point, even bolting out into the sun, singing while his faces burns.
What is he really trying to accomplish here? We know that Armand’s fears are that the more that Sam Reid’s character takes in the limelight, the likelier it is that vampires emerge in greater numbers and pave the way for the Great Conversion. Gabriella, meanwhile, sees no problem with this or vampires effectively conquering the world. Lestat’s motives are a little bit more unclear, especially since for the better part of his existence, there have been other people around him trying to control the narrative. This season is really all about him finding his own path and no matter where things go the rest of the way, we do tend to think he will navigate in that particular direction.
