Love Island USA season 8 episode 14 preview: A new voting debate!

We have now officially reached the point on Love Island USA season 8 where most of the internet has been thrust into crazy voting debates. What does it all mean? Well, let’s just say that there is much here to currently discuss.

Ultimately, the idea here is rather simple: You get to vote for your favorite couple on the app. However, the ramifications could prove large here if there is some sort of voting component within the villa to send someone home — or, you end up giving two people an advantage.

So why are so many people online actually voting for Sol & Caleb, given that they were literally just paired up? It really feels like there may be a couple of different reasons for it. First and foremost, you can argue that the vote puts them at an unfair advantage — there is no established chemistry here and beyond that, they have been there a super-short period of time compared to a lot of other people. Meanwhile, you can also argue that the rest of the show has grown a bit stagnant with so many solid couples — even Kenzie & Corbin / Melanie & Sincere found their way back to each other. You can argue that some of these couples are working, but other people may just want to be there until the finale.

(We do think it would be funny if Kenzie / Sincere realize that their previous partners were popular right after moving away from them. What would happen then?)

In the end, Love Island USA does need some sort of shake-up at this point in the season. However, it remains to be seen if this vote is going to be the spark or just another series of predictable events.
