The Pitt season 3 spoilers: A big change for Dr. Javadi?

We do recognize that at this point, we are still a reasonable stretch of time away from getting a chance to have The Pitt season 3 on HBO Max. Even though the creative team has been at work for a while, the episodes still need to be filmed!

So what do we know about the story at this point? Beyond the absence of one Samira Mohan, it does appear as though a few different things will be shifting around the ER. The setting will be in the month of November, Dr. Al-Hashimi’s status remains unclear after the events of season 2, and Robby will be back following a sabbatical. Will it have actually helped him? That is, at least for now, one of the big mysteries.

One of the things that we do have more clarity on right now is tied to Dr. Victoria Javadi, who decided to head into psychiatry as her position of expertise at the end of last season. Speaking (via Bustle), Shabana Azeez noted that her character will be coming into the story from a slightly different place:

“I can say that I’m not in the ER this season. I’ve done my ER rotation, so I’m doing my psychiatry rotation … It’s a very different vibe for me. And I’m scared and nervous. But it’s an honor to be able to show that part of medicine.”

Does this mean that we are potentially going to see less of her? That is a possibility, but we do tend to think that the writing will be such that she is able to flutter in and out. The Pitt is trying to be realistic and through that, a lot of people are not in the ER forever. However, you also want to do whatever you can to be invested in the people we do have a chance to see.
