Marshals season 2: Is a Dutton Ranch crossover possible?

Now that we are on the other side of the first season of Marshals over on CBS, isn’t this the perfect time to get more into a season 2?

Based on where things stand at present, there are at least a number of things worth discussing when it comes to the upcoming chapter of the Luke Grimes series, and it begins with outlining the chances of some sort of crossover within the larger Yellowstone universe. Note that we are not just saying it for the sake of saying it. Rather, there are some tangible reasons that were set up thanks to the story itself.

After all, remember here that at the end of the season 1 finale, we got news surrounding Weaver and Tate that suggests that they could be spending some time in Texas, which is of course the same place that Beth and Rip are now calling home. Of course, the Lone Star State is a pretty big place, and they may not be heading to the particular region where the Dutton Ranch is located. You can also argue that the two shows have moved in really different directions, as well; the Paramount+ series is much more of a spiritual successor to Yellowstone than what we’re getting with Marshals, which feels much more like a network TV procedural with the occasional serialized elements. You would have to find a way to allow the story make sense.

In the end, though, we do get the sense that the producers want us to be thinking about the possibility here — even if we are waiting a good while to see the end result.
