‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: First look at Colton Haynes, more in writers room

Do you want more evidence that that entire cast of “Arrow” is ready to go back to work on their second season? Then you really don’t have to look any further than the new picture shared here.

This photo that shows the likes of Emily Bett Rickards, Colton Haynes, David Ramsey, and more was posted by executive producer Marc Guggenheim on Twitter, and it bleeds out excitement all over to place to us. First of all, how awesome would it be if all of these actors actually attended the read in costume? That’s more of a pipe dream, but it is nice to see so many familiar faces turning up in the same place for the first time in what is going to be a nine-month journey for many of them.

We know already that the “Arrow” premiere will pick up a full four or so months after the events we saw in the finale, which gives Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance each time to process what happened when it comes to Tommy’s death, and where they each see their future going. Does this mean that they will be together or apart? It could be somewhere in between, and for now nobody is really saying a word. (We’d love to see the evolution accelerate to Black Canary stages for Laurel, but that’s likely to be more of a slow process, if the writers really decide to go in this direction in the first place.)

Rickards, Manu Bennett, and Haynes are all new series regulars, so expect to see plenty more of them as we progress deeper into this second go-around for our favorite superhero story on TV.
