Is Jacob Elordi leaving Euphoria, and is Nate Jacobs dead?

Following tonight’s Euphoria season 3 episode, is there a chance that Jacob Elordi could be leaving the show? Is Nate Jacobs dead?

Well, let’s just say that within the first hour of tonight’s extended episode of the HBO hit, it did feel like there was a legitimate chance that was the case. The dude had already been buried alive by the same criminal enterprise that has been after him for most of the season. Cassie had 72 hours to get them the money before he dehydrated … but then came the snake.

The moment we saw said reptile descend into Nate’s small breathing hole, it was fairly easy to assume that it was a wrap for this character. After all, how could he survive something like that? (Granted, there was still a part of us that felt like Nate was going to survive somehow every single possible thing thrown at him like the Black Knight from Monty Python & the Holy Grail.)

Well, eventually we did end up seeing Cassie get some of the money together with some help and/or favors, and it led to the casket being pulled out of the ground. Soon after that, the truth was revealed — and the guy is completely gone. The snake actually did him in and within that, Euphoria has lost one of its biggest stars. Elordi may not have been that come season 1, but a lot has certainly changed at this point. This is a big-name actor who, on the other side of this show, will clearly have no problems booking other roles.
