Silo season 3 episode 2: Will Juliette learn too much?

Now that we are a couple of episodes into Silo season 3 over on Apple TV, it does feel like we understand the shape of the season more than ever — but beyond just that, what Juliette is really up against.

Is Camille a Big Bad in full force? Not necessarily. She is trying to do what she thinks is right when it comes to protecting both the structure and the people in it, and a part of that means listening to the Algorithm. She may recognize that not doing so could lead to catastrophic consequences, though she is also realizing that in order to keep Rebecca Ferguson’s character from remembering the truth, she is having to take increasingly drastic measures.

After all, consider the following for a moment here — we are seeing her work to tamper the water supply! The story is connected to the past in that there were similar measures implemented on Charlotte to keep her from understanding what happened with her plane; you have effectively a small group of people trying to determine what is right and wrong, down to how much they want others to remember.

What this season may be about is simply self-reliance — if Juliette remembers and tells others what she saw, how damaging would that be? Or, could it eventually help the residents of the Silo in her own way? Just based on what we saw with Juliette’s personal guard alone, it does feel like the further down the rabbit hole Camille gets in sabotaging her, the more she is going to be put into a position where she pushes away those close to her.
