The Testaments season 1 episode 10: What’s next for Becka, Agnes?

The finale of The Testaments is coming to Hulu next week and from where things stand at present, one thing does feel obvious: Becka’s life will never be the same.

After all, the character was taken by the Eyes after murdering her father! This is something that could easily lead to her death or some other consequence. She has to find a way to survive in an impossible situation, while at the same time Agnes has to deal with the result of her own actions. She, being young and unable to wrap her head around recent events, told her parents about Becka’s arrival. They told her that they would get her help, only to call the Eyes instead.

So is something big going to change for Agnes and Becka moving forward, provided that they even get to see each other again? Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Mattea Conforti suggested that the two may not fall apart in the way you would assume:

[Becka] is obviously very confused, and thrown off by the course of the past 24 hours. But Agnes is the kind of person where, in [her] mind, she can do no wrong. And if she could do that whole series of events over to protect her, I genuinely think Becka would because Agnes is her girl. She would protect her no matter what.

Ultimately, this serves as a really good reminder that love is a powerful thing and while Agnes may not know the full extent of her friend’s feelings, they are nonetheless still there. This is something that could easily frame everything moving into the already-renewed season 2 … provided that the two do continue to have opportunities to interact.
