The Testaments season 1 episode 10 (finale): Can Becka move forward?

Next week on Hulu you are going to see The Testaments season 1 episode 10 and with this being the finale, it is fair to have high hopes for great television.

With all of this being said, it is certainly fair to have a great deal of concern — and all things considered, how can you not? Becka was seemingly taken by the Eyes, who showed up after they were called by Agnes’ parents. Garth was with them, so obviously if there is some element of hope here, it is that he may be able to usher her to safety. However, at the same time he has been really careful with his status as a part of Mayday; even if he is set to marry Becka, he may worry that pushing too hard for her safety exposes his position. He does have to tow the line delicately here.

So is there still even the smallest sliver of hope for Becka? We will say so, and mostly due to what actress Mattea Conforti (who plays the character) had to say on the subject to Collider:

Becka is a very strong individual, whether she knows it or not. She just had the craziest past 24 hours. The audience can expect to see Becka in the same Gilead that we know, but also expect her to be stronger than we think she is and that she maybe realizes.

This makes us feel like there is at least a small chance that the character survives, even if she is truly up against the wall here. What we are hoping for is that there is at least one person who can step in somewhere. While we know that Garth is with Mayday, someone is his handler and we still do not know who that is. Are they an Aunt? Another Commander? A familiar face? Time will tell.
