Vought Rising premiere date hopes after The Boys series finale

Following the huge finale today on Prime Video, is there more that we can about Vought Rising, including some premiere date hopes?

Well, first and foremost, here is your reminder that filming for the prequel series starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash already been completed. It has been described as a murder-mystery of sorts set far before the events of the original show, and we certainly imagine how much more about the lore of Vought we will eventually learn. Ackles did not appear in the series finale of the main show, with the last we saw of him being his cryogenically frozen body being put back in a tube.

As for when we are going to see Vought Rising actually turn up, our general feeling is that it is going to be coming to Prime Video at some point in 2027. That is what all indications point to, and it also makes sense for the Amazon-owned streaming service to put some time between the end of the main show and what the future could hold.

As for the rest of the franchise…

Well, here is your reminder that in addition to Vought Rising, there is also the spin-off The Boys: Mexico that has been in the works for a rather long time. It does still remain unclear just where things end up with that project, or if the polarizing reviews of the final season will impact it. Meanwhile, Eric Kripke has said in the past that he would like to bring some characters from the canceled Gen V back in some capacity — though we’re going to have to wait and see if anything else happens there.
