The Testaments season 1 episode 9: Becka’s shocking move
We had a feeling heading into The Testaments season 1 episode 9 that there was going to be some sort of shocking event. Yet, at the same time, we never could have anticipated the direction in which the story took.
After all, Daisy took it upon herself following the conclusion to this past episode to try and set up Dr. Grove for the monster that he is. She fabricated an assault upon her, a move that finally had some of the Commanders forced to acknowledge it. Judd plans on punishing him, but Lydia prods to have to happen after Becka’s wedding to save her the humiliation and allowing the ceremony to move forward.

What Lydia did not anticipate was that Becka was going to learn about what happened from Agnes, or Becka’s own feelings for Chase Infiniti’s character. This led to one of the most stunning moments of the entire season, as Becka murdered her father in the bathtub using a pair of shears before fleeing and going to Agnes. From there, it appeared as though the two were planning to go away together … unless for Agnes to tell her parents and for them to seemingly call the Eyes. The end of the episode featured Becka being taken to an unknown place.
Is there still any possible future for her? At this point, that may be dependent on Garth, someone who is a part of Mayday but is carefully guarding his position. He may determine that she is too unpredictable a variable, especially since it is hard for her to re-enter society. However, is there still another way she could be an asset? For us, we really just hope there is a chance to see at least something more from her.
