Dutton Ranch season 1 episode 3 is poised to arrive on Paramount+ a little bit later this week — so why not set the stage further?

The first thing that we really should note here is that Rip Wheeler is already playing a dangerous game. He not only found Wes’ body on his lang, but he has since moved it to what is effectively a brand-new train station. That is where he will presumably be storing it for the foreseeable future, but could someone discover it? Or, is there a chance that we are going to see some threats come his way from other places?

As Beth works to secure their business, Rip faces a threat; tensions increase throughout Rio Paloma, and circumstances require everyone to make choices.

We know that for Beth, there is already tension between her and Beulah Jackson and the longer the two of them coexist, the more heightened things could become. Beulah already did try to slow down her business when it comes to the slaughterhouse, but that did not work.

The real x-factor in all of this

Carter has already spent some time with Beulah’s granddaughter Oreana, and we do wonder if the show is going to set up some sort of star-crossed romance between the two of them. If that happens, will it keep the parties from going to war? Or, are things just going to stay messy for as long as possible? The good thing about this show is that there is certainly no pressure to wrap things up fast; we tend to think the producers can absolutely take their time with various aspects of the story.
