Is Boston Blue new tonight on CBS? We would not blame anyone out there for wondering given the rather hot-and-cold nature of TV schedules. Are we at a point where some good news can be shared?

Well, in a word, the answer here is yes! You will have a chance to see the Donnie Wahlberg spin-off show back starting at 10:00 p.m. Eastern with another episode full of action and drama. There may not be as much nostalgia as there was last week with Marisa Ramirez coming back as Maria Baez, but is it wrong to at least hope for something? We don’t tend to think so.

To get a few more details now on what is to come, be sure to check out the full Boston Blue season 1 episode 16 synopsis below:

“Anatomy of a Bomb” – When a crisis erupts at a local hospital over a critical transplant error, Danny and Lena work to calm a volatile situation while the rest of the team uncovers a darker mystery tied to the case. Meanwhile, an unexpected encounter pushes Lena to reflect on her past, on the CBS Original series BOSTON BLUE, Friday, April 24 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

Ultimately, there are still a handful of stories to come and within some of those, you are going to be getting a little bit of nostalgia. After all, Bridget Moynahan is going to be making a return as Erin. Also, who knows if someone else will turn up to set the stage for the already-renewed season 2?
