‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Fifth Harmony, Emblem3, One Direction

X FactorFor those of you out there up late enough to catch this latest edition of “The X Factor” notes, you will hopefully find quite a bit to smile about here. From the latest news revolving around Fifth Harmony, to the latest cover courtesy of One Direction we have a lot to talk about.

With that being said, let’s now start things off by talking about some of the most-popular groups of guys to have been on the show.

Best Song EverOne Direction’s new cover – For whatever reason, the guys from One Direction chose a title for their new single in “Best Song Ever,” which to us bring to mind that old Tenacious D hit “Tribute” (look it up, younger readers). This track will be available come July 22, but if you don’t want to wait that long, check out the official single art to the left!

Emblem3 radio airplay – Do you want to know how the group’s new track “Chloe (You’re the One I Want)” is faring right now? The great news is that it has crept its way into the top 30 now on the pop radio chart, which makes it pretty much the biggest radio hit ever by a contestant on the American version of the show. So hats off to the guys! We also have a feeling that they are probably very excited that there is still plenty more to come to follow this up.

Fifth Harmony – We have to end with Fifth Harmony, if for no other reason than the way in which they completely go all out to celebrate the birthdays of one of their group members. While we could have put about a million different examples in here of incredible things in here just to make this even more effective, this message from Normani to the birthday girl Ally on Instagram really manages to take the cake and then some:

“LemonHead ! I just can’t come to realize that you turned 20 today. I FLOVE YOU SO MUCHHH & you’ll always be my little big sister. Your such a beautiful spirit and gift from God :) My little 80’s chick with the highlighter colors lol your neon lipstick is always poppin haha RANDOM but I’m never making you fish sticks again *insider* thank you for comforting me when ever & always being there for me when I really needed someone. I love our little bible sessions that we have. Us both being so far from home it helps that we have each other #TEXASPRIDE haha oh we need to have our traditional apple pie and ice cream soon . I love you and have the best birthday FLOVE FLOVE FLOVE FLOVE”
