Paradise season 3: Will Julianne Nicholson return as Sinatra?

We absolutely recognize that heading into Paradise season 3 now on Hulu, there are so many questions worth asking. What is one of the big ones? Well, that largely comes down to Sinatra’s fate!

Close to the end of the season 2 finale, we saw Julianne Nicholson’s character die, a move that she made in order to try and save everyone else as they fled from the bunker. This was her showing that she could be inherently heroic despite all of her secrets and controversial acts over the years. She is seemingly now entrusting everything to Xavier, who could use Alex — the supercomputer / AI that has seemingly manipulated time — in order to save the future. This could mean, of course, going back to the past.

So is Nicholson hoping to come back in some form? Given the show’s history of flashbacks it feels likely — and the actress indicated to TVLine that she would be thrilled to return:

I hope so! I’d love to. When you’re part of something that hits in a certain way and people really respond to, it’s such a special thing. Knowing that this is a three-season thing, to pop up in that season would be great. But I don’t know. I couldn’t say.

Given that season 3 is about to start filming, we certainly do think answers are going to be coming on that front soon. It does now feel a little more clear as to how this is a three-season show, given that if Xavier is able to actually go back in time to save the future, what more of the story is there to tell? How much of any of this will even be remembered? There are a lot of different things we are left to wonder about in the interim.
