Is Saturday Night Live new tonight on NBC? Make no mistake here that of course, we’d love nothing more than to have more of the late-night sketch show on the air. Last week’s Harry Styles episode was a blast for so many reasons, with the biggest perhaps being one of the best Weekend Update performances of all time courtesy of Mikey Day.

Unfortunately, this is where we have to come in here with the bummer reveal that have reached another hiatus. Is this tied to the NCAA Tournament being on? We understand if that thought is out there but really, we have seen the late-night show go off the air roughly around this time for years on end. It always tends to air three episodes in a row followed by a break, and nothing has changed with that. (The only exception comes during election season, where we sometimes get 4-5 episodes before it heads off the air.)

For now, the plan here is for more SNL to arrive on April 4, and we imagine that we’ll get some sort of run there, another hiatus, and then three shows in May to cap things off for the season. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope that those installments in particular deliver big laughs, and also cement what the next season could look like.

For now, everything long-term remains fairly uncertain — save for the fact that Ashley Padilla is clearly the big star of the season at this point. Despite being new to the scene, she is in more sketches than almost every other cast member! Who saw that coming?
