Bridgerton season 4 episode 5 spoilers: Yerin Ha on Sophie’s future
In just a matter of a few short days you are going to have a chance to dive into Bridgerton season 4 episode 5 over at Netflix. So what more can be said about it now?
Well, first and foremost, let’s just kick things off here by noting that for Benedict Bridgerton first and foremost, it feels like a central struggle lies ahead — one where he may struggle to find a way to win Sophie Baek back. After all, he did say something that is really difficult to walk back in requesting that she be his mistress. That is immediately something that could lead to Sophie questioning how she is seen by him, let alone everyone else in his class. This is a huge barrier that could prove to be incredibly difficult for almost anyone to get past, and we do think that it defines almost everything that is coming up moving forward.

Speaking to People Magazine, Yerin Ha herself does her best to illuminate where things are for her character at this point — let alone how so much may be different now thanks to that one unfortunate request:
“I think in that moment, when the spark happens, she kind of crumbles and lets all her walls down … But the minute he asks the question, the walls immediately go back up … [Part 2 is another] adventure of, how is he actually going to break her walls down and make her feel vulnerable?”
We do think that Benedict is likely going to need to make some sort of grand gesture, or at least do something that goes above and beyond to show that he wants to be with her even if it means risking anything for himself. Sophie should settle for nothing less, and should want to move forward with some sort of significant security in her future with him.
