Survivor 50 video: Is Q Burdette ready for more chaos?

From an entertainment standpoint alone, there are few Survivor 50 contestants quite like Q Burdette. He may be one of the most unpredictable players in the New Era, and we know he is capable of manipulating, lying, finding idols, and doing just about whatever he can in order to win the game.

You can claim that Q has some commonalities with a number of other classic players, whether it be a Tony Vlachos, a Russell Hantz, or even a Coach with all the catch-phrases. Those three have all made it to the end, and one of them is even a two-time winner! So why hasn’t he figured it out yet?

Well, maybe a part of it comes down to how openly chaotic he is, and at times, that can make him a hard person to work with. You can see some of that within a new Survivor 50 spotlight video here, as Q openly admits to the fact that he isn’t good for anyone’s game other than his own. He has a very Sandra-like mantra of taking out anyone as long as it isn’t him. However, there are major drawbacks that come with playing like that if people are openly aware of it. They may not trust you, and this is a game that is often about trust.

This is the complicated position that Q finds himself in entering this season. If he makes it far, we imagine that he’ll play one of the most entertaining games in history and go down as a legend. That is possible, but it is equally so that he just gets taken out because nobody trusts him. He’s a high-ceiling, low-floor player whose top priority entering the season really just needs to be working to ensure that people are on his side. The social game will be the thing that either helps him the most or sinks him this go-around.
