Saturday Night Live: Ryan Gosling to host March 7

If you missed the news not too long ago, Saturday Night Live is going to feature Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie come February 2026. So what about what is coming up after the fact here?

Well, today the folks at NBC went ahead and shared some good news — Ryan Gosling is getting set to make his big return to Studio 8H! The plan is for the actor to host the upcoming March 7 installment, which is going to feature Gorillaz as the musical guest. Ryan is no stranger to the world of the show, though it may be somewhat weird seeing him without Kate McKinnon around. (We associate her with him more than very few cast member / host combos out there.)

Now, this is where we should go ahead and note that there is also an SNL episode set at the moment for March 14, but there is no host officially set for it just yet. Odds are NBC and Lorne Michaels are close to figuring that out, and we are going to get that news before too long. We do wonder if this is an opportunity for them to go a little bit off the beaten path and with that, chose someone who is totally unexpected like an athlete. We have, after all, seen that happen on some other instances in the past.

In general, our expectation here is that we are going to have another hiatus following March 14 and if we are lucky, a couple more runs before season 51 comes to a close. If we are lucky, there will be some notable hosts before we say goodbye for the summer. If we are lucky, that will include a former cast member or two!
