Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 premiere date: Feb. update

Is there any chance that we will hear more about Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 before February comes to a close?

As many of you certainly know at this point, the folks at Prime Video do have quite a bit invested in this series. There are not a lot of series out there that operate at this sort of scale, or are setting up as many battles as season 3 is. We’ve already heard a lot about war being a big part of the next chapter, which we take as a sign that a lot of disparate stories here are about to come more together. (At least, that is our hope.)

So just how close are we from actually getting more The Rings of Power on TV? Well, let’s just say that it is not impossibly far away at this point — at the very least, a 2026 release feels possible. The series wrapped production late last year and with that, everyone is working tirelessly in post-production to ensure all the visual effects are on point. This is a process that does take some time, but we do believe Amazon would like it out before the year is done.

Unfortunately, we are still not at a point here where we can sit here and be confident at all that we are going to be getting more insight before February is done. Thinking that would happen feels almost like an exercise in foolishness. More than likely, we will start to get more insight on the series’ future come this summer, and there will be a buildup of at least a few months before we get around to the eventual premiere.
