Pluribus season 2 premiere date: The best-case scenario
Even though the Pluribus season 1 finale only aired several weeks ago, we are calling it now: It is going to be an incredibly painful wait for season 2. A part of that is tied simply to how good the first season was from start to finish. Meanwhile, the other part is all about just how long Vince Gilligan and Apple TV are going to keep us waiting.
Now, here is where we remind you that this is not some maniacal plan by the parties involved to make us all suffer. In a perfect world, we would have a chance to see the Rhea Seehorn drama back close to the end of the year. However, Vince has already noted on several occasions he does not work anywhere near as fast as he used to, and this is also a series that prides itself on attention to detail and hammering out the finer details.

At this point, what we’re trying to say is quite simple: Even the best-case scenario has us waiting well over a year to see the show back. It honestly feels like in a perfect world where everything goes according to plan, we are still waiting until fall 2027 to see Pluribus back. That is a launch window that Gilligan seems to like and for Apple, they have clearly shown an extreme level of patience when it comes to some of their properties. This is the same streamer that has long breaks between seasons of Severance, and also has shows like Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and Sugar coming back this year after extensive breaks of their own.
If this was a lesser show, maybe we’d be a bit more worried that the long wait will be damaging to Carol’s journey. In this instance, everything should be fine — even if we are still bummed out having to sit through the next year-plus.
