The Beauty season 1 episode 5 promo: The spread of danger

As we look right around the corner at The Beauty season 1 episode 5 on FX, there are a few things that appear to be crystal clear when it comes to what to expect. For starters, people with money and power are going to cling to it — really to the point where they choose to ignore some of the potential consequences.

After all, how else can you really explain some of what we’re seeing in the preview for what is ahead? It has become clear through the first four episodes already just how quickly things can spiral here out of control, and this feels like yet another measure to make that happen.

As for Byron Forst, he is going to be facing problems of his own with the NIH. What happens if they have a specimen? What is he willing to do about it? This is a man who has shown himself to be many things, but we do that think focus on his own self-interest stands out the most.

One thing that is interesting about where we are in the series right now is that the producers honestly don’t have to rush things too fast. We are in this world now where a lot of premium and streaming shows are only doing eight-episode runs. Luckily, that is not the case here. Season 1 of The Beauty has a full 11 episodes, and that does allow Ryan Murphy and his team an opportunity to explore a whole heap of consequences. We’ll just have to wait and see where all the stories land…
