Severance season 3 premiere date: A February 2026 update
Is there a good chance that we are going to hear more on a Severance season 3 premiere date between now and the end of February? Well, if nothing else, it does at least feel like there is an argument to be made for it at present. It has been a year now since the second season aired and the longer we got without new episodes, the more frustration will inevitably settle in.
In some ways, we assume that this frustration could be compounded by the fact that at present, filming has not even begun for the Adam Scott series — and could still be months away. What is taking so long at this point? We recognize that this is a complicated show to write and beyond just that, you do have to get a lot of filming dates and elements together … but it does go against many traditional models of TV. By the time that we actually do see the third season arrive, there is a chance that two 15-episode seasons of The Pitt will have aired in between. (This is mostly notable since they were competition against each other at the Emmys.)

Because of more or less everything that we’ve stated above, it does appear as though the odds of getting more news this month are slim to none — we’ll be lucky if we hear anything next month, as well. Based on where we sit, it would be a miracle if a specific date is even revealed come February of next year. Spring or summer 2027 feels like a modest estimate and if there is any silver lining to that, it is the fact that it would still be a shorter break than what we had between seasons 1 and 2.
If there is one question we have for season 3…
It has to be about Gemma, no? If she is truly on the outside now, is it up to her to try to bring back Mark’s Outie?
