Ted Lasso season 4 premiere date: Apple TV confirms window!
After years of waiting, we finally have more specific news to be excited about today when it comes to Ted Lasso season 4 — an actual premiere date window!
So when are the folks at Apple TV looking to bring back Jason Sudeikis and the rest of the cast? Well, let’s just say that it is right when so many of us expected: This summer. While it would be great to see it back before then, production has still been ongoing for the series this month. By virtue of that alone, we’re not surprised or disappointed that the streaming service would choose to take their time bringing their biggest comedy hit back.

Apple also confirmed today something that many of us have known for some time: The bulk of the new season will revolve around Ted returning to the UK, where he will work to coach a women’s team at AFC Richmond. A number of major cast members from the first three seasons will return, whether it be Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard), or Brett Goldstein (Roy). The status of many of the players from the first three seasons remains unclear — if they turn up, it will likely be in guest spots rather than full-time gigs.
Our excitement for the next chapter of Ted Lasso is simply the opportunity it provides to bring a new underdog story to the table. While Ted has plenty of experience coaching, can he replicate that with the women’s team? Also, what is the state of his family life at this point? We know that some time has passed since the third season and his son is now older — is he going to be missing home as much, or will he find a more permanent home in the UK? Obviously, it would be great to get some answers this season — but who says season 4 has to be the end? There is still room to explore a lot of great stories coming up.
