Is Tracker new tonight on CBS? Well, let’s start by recognizing that the wait for more of the Justin Hartley series has been long already. More than a month has passed now since the last installment, and that is made even more painful by the fact that we had a pretty big cliffhanger in the most-recent episode. We are waiting to learn whether or not Keaton is going to be okay.

So is that answer about to come? That would be great, but this is where the bad news comes into play: The simple answer here is no. The series remains on its long midseason hiatus, and it will continue to be in this spot until the start of March. In the meantime, you’ve got everything from the NFL to the Olympics and various awards shows. This is competition that CBS wants nothing to do with!

If you have not heard us discuss this in the past, one of the silver linings to a long break like this is that by the time that Tracker is back on the air, we will be in a spot where there will be mostly new episodes the rest of the season with fewer breaks. We’ll learn about Keaton’s fate early on and as the remainder of the stories come your way, we tend to think we’ll be seeing a little bit of everything play out.

The good news is that we do tend to think that some other familiar faces from the past will be back. Could Jensen Ackles be one of them as Russell? That would be a blast but at the same time, a lot of that is going to depend on his extremely busy schedule. It is a pretty tough thing to gauge from the outside looking in.
