Paradise season 2 spoilers: James Marsden returning
If you needed another reason to be hyped for the return of Paradise season 2 in just a matter of months, we have it now. James Marsden is officially set to be back in the world of the show!
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dan Fogelman confirms that the actor will be back after his awesome season 1 run as Cal. Even if the President is dead, there are always still ways you can incorporate him here and there, no?

Ultimately, Fogelman notes that he has more experience than most dealing with this sort of thing, thanks largely to his time on This Is Us, which had flashbacks and/or flash-forwards almost all the time:
“I have had roles for him in mind both in the second and third season as a way that he can play a part in the story … Coming off of This Is Us for so long and knowing how it works when you’re dealing with shows that deal in time and when you have beloved characters in them, there are ways when you have flashbacks where, if it’s not moving the plot forward, it can move somebody’s character forward. And it keeps them in the ether of the show. So that was something that was always on my mind with James. I knew people were gonna love him in it.”
Do we anticipate that Marsden is going to be around all the time? Hardly, especially given the fact that the actor has another prominent gig on Your Friends & Neighbors season 2. We are at a point right now where we are mostly just happy to have him for however much he is able to appear, while also noting that the story is going to be taking some pretty significant leaps. After all, a good chunk of it will be spent with Xavier outside the compound, looking to find his wife who is supposedly still out there.
